We aim to acquire one enduring business and lead it with a deep respect for the people and culture that made it successful

Mission and Commitment

We founded Rose Peak Partners to acquire and grow an enduring business. Our goal is to transition roles with a current owner and help scale a proven business model as hands-on, full-time operators.

We approach this process with deep respect for the time and energy you invested in your business. We believe in building a mutually beneficial relationship that honors your legacy and unlocks new growth.

We are committed to preserving your company’s core values, maintaining strong relationships with employees and partners, and ensuring a smooth transition. Whether through a partnership or a full sale, we prioritize a respectful process and long-term success.

With the support of experienced operators, investors, and entrepreneurs, you can be confident that we will close a transaction and lead your company with care, capability, and conviction.

Our Story

We started Rose Peak Partners with the belief that small businesses form the backbone of communities. Growing up, we saw firsthand how strong leadership in a local business can create lasting impact. That impact goes beyond financial success and reaches the lives of employees, customers, and families.

With roots in the Western United States and a shared desire to build something lasting, we are focused on acquiring one exceptional business and continuing its legacy for years to come. We are not seeking a portfolio. We are seeking a home.

Our goal is to become deeply embedded in the community we serve, to earn the trust of those we lead, and to build on the foundation a founder has spent years creating. Rose Peak represents our commitment to growth with purpose, people first, and long-term stewardship.

Meet the Team

Tyler Meidell and his wife

Tyler Meidell

CO-FOUNDER

Tyler was inspired by the impact his father and grandmother achieved by building their family business for 30 years. Their efforts left a legacy of resilience through changing markets and showcased how small business leaders can be pillars of strength that their communities can depend on.

Wanting a similar impact, Tyler sought to learn leadership early in his career. After graduating with honors in Accounting from Brigham Young University, he commissioned as an infantry officer in the United States Army. In that role, he led teams of 40 to 150 soldiers in the U.S. and Korea.

As a soldier, Tyler learned to motivate people through stressful conditions and balance accomplishing large organizational goals with supporting individuals’ needs. Consistently, he managed soldiers with more years of military experience than he had. Doing so taught him to lead with humility and value the ideas and processes of people from all parts of an organization.

Upon completing his military service, Tyler earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he studied small business management. He intends to apply his leadership experience and business acumen in the communities where he was raised by acquiring and operating one business in the Western United States.

Madsen Murphy

CO-FOUNDER

Madsen’s passion for small business was shaped early by watching his dad serve as the long-time CEO of a family-owned company. Seeing the pride and impact that came from leading a business left a lasting impression and sparked an early interest in entrepreneurship.

Raised in the Western United States, Madsen developed a strong connection to the region and its business communities. In high school, he started a youth sports camp, gaining firsthand experience managing people and creating value.

He studied Finance at Brigham Young University, graduating summa cum laude, and went on to work in management consulting and private equity. In those roles, he partnered with leadership teams to support strategic planning, financial analysis, and operational improvement, developing a practical skill set he plans to bring to the day-to-day leadership of a small business. He later earned his MBA from Harvard Business School to round out his leadership and management training.

With strong personal ties to the West, Madsen is seeking to acquire and operate a single enduring business. He brings thoughtful leadership and a deep appreciation for what makes small companies successful.
